Eastern Crowns JTT Sectional Champions
150 juniors from 24 teams competed in the 2022 USTA Eastern Junior Team Tennis Sectional Championships, held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center June 18-19. Stephan Gershfeld Takes State Title
Hewlett's Stephan Gershfeld captured the 2022 NYSPHSAA boys' individual championship, defeating Now Rochelle's Emil Grantcharov in the final, 6-2, 6-2. The event was held June 2-4 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

NYJTL Holds Mayor Dinkins Cup
Over 500 kids representing all five boroughs and 283 public, private and parochial schools in New York City competed in the 2022 Mayor Dinkins Cup, held May 26-June 5 at The Cary Leeds Center for Tennis & Learning.

New USTA Eastern Tournaments Assistant
We are very excited to announce that we have hired Nina D'Amato to serve as Assistant, Tournaments at USTA Eastern.

Nina recently graduated from St. John's University, where she obtained a Master's in Sports Management and competed for the Track and Field team. She was one of 35 athletes selected to serve on the university's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, which worked on a variety of initiatives in coordination with the college administration. Additionally, for the past three summers, Nina has been a part of the credential staff at the US Open, where she has had the opportunity to interact and collaborate with a variety of tennis players and USTA employees.

Team Eastern Sectional Camp
On June 4-5, juniors attended the Team Eastern Sectional Camp at CourtSense in Bogota, N.J. Daniella Sales received the Character Award from camp coaches for a strong display of professionalism throughout the event. Learn more

🎾 The Eastern Junior Awards Gala is officially returning to the US Open. As per our 2022 USTA Eastern Rules, the top three ranked players in each age division using the National Combined Singles Standing List as of July 14 will be invited to the event.
🎾 Save the date: USTA Eastern's College Showcase Day will return November 6, 2022 at the Saw Mill Club in Mt. Kisco, N.Y.
