Hello Ladies of the Daughters of Erin,
Welcome to the start of the year with new leaders of the Daughters of Erin. We survived the two years of COVID with Zoom, and now we can be in person again. We have lots of activities over the next few months, giving us a chance to build friendships and make new ones.
Please come and join us to see what's coming ahead! Watch for email updates over the summer for our important fundraising efforts and volunteer sign-ups. Please bring a friend!

JUNE MEMBERSHIP MEETING
The June meeting is Sunday, June 11 at 1 p.m. at Trinity School, Saint Christopher Church. We're having a picnic! Bring goodies to to go hot dogs and summer salad.

CHARITIES
For the June meeting we are accepting items for Saints Alive. Needed items include tarps, rope or bungee cords, body wipes, double AA and triple AAA batteries, clothing and food donations.
We are collecting school supplies at the September meeting. If you have a school you know who needs supplies, please let Cheryl know! Thank you.

DUBLIN IRISH FESTIVAL TEA ROOM
Help the Daughters of Erin welcome visitors to the annual Irish Tea Room at the Dublin Irish Festival, Friday Aug. 5 to Sunday, Aug. 7. We will need volunteers to sell our delicious baked goods, homemade hot and iced tea and more. Plan to stop by the Tea Room to support our event! We need to cover all three days, especially afternoon and evening hours. Please help us find volunteers. Thank you.
DUBLIN IRISH FESTIVAL SCONE BAKING
WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are excited to announce a new location, with more ovens, to bake scones this year! Save the date, 9 am-2 pm, Saturday, July 30 at St. Catherine Church, 500 S Gould Rd, Columbus, OH 43209. We'll need volunteers to mix, bake, package, etc.
DUBLIN IRISH FESTIVAL TEA ROOM BAKED GOODS
We will be selling soda bread, scones and other homemade baked goods at the Dublin Irish Festival Tea Room, Friday, Aug. 5 to Sunday, Aug. 7.
Suggestions, other than soda bread or brown bread, include cookies, brownies, fruit breads and shortbread. If you need to arrange pickup, let us know.
Please do not make anything with frosting, icing or things that melt in the heat. Be sure to include a written description of the items and any ingredients that may cause allergy concerns.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS GROUP & JUNIOR DIVISION
We are exploring a Young Professionals group as well as continuing the Junior Division. If you know new moms, professionals or newly married women, we are planning to host events to encourage membership. Watch for updates this year.
Also, if you know any younger girls, please invite them to join the Daughters of Erin Junior Division.

TRIP TO IRELAND 2023
Kevin Cain of The Hooligans is planning a trip to Ireland, May 6-15, 2023.
He is working with CIC Tours to organize the trip, based on 40 people going, the cost will be @ $2800 per person.

We are selling 2022, 2021 and 2020 (and all additional years) Daughters of Erin Badges. All badges are $1 each.
We are also selling badges with a lanyard, choose five badges from past years and receive a lanyard to put them on for $5!
