Dear Mill Valley School District Community!
Today is the 180th day of instruction – the final student day for our schools….and what many in the community would consider the eve of summer vacation!!
As I think about the closing of the school year, I reflect on all that we have accomplished on behalf of our students, from implementing the
Mill Valley Learner Profile
to celebrating innovative instruction of our staff. There really is so very much to be proud, and much to look forward to!
I sincerely thank you all for the opportunity to serve as Interim Superintendent over the course of this school year. As I have shared, it is not too often one gets a chance to step into a new role with the goal of supporting and keeping the ship moving along while gaining a new professional experience. Getting to take on this position in an environment filled with dedicated and committed staff and with parents and community members who are true partners in educating our youth has truly been a gift!
I thank you for your trust and confidence as I have tried my best to be humble in my learning, clear in my communication, and dedicated to this work. As I transition back into my role at the Marin County Office of Education, I will not be too far away to respond to a question or hear about all of the greatness that will continue to happen here in the Mill Valley School District.
I wish you all a spectacular summer vacation full of rest, relaxation, and fun!!
Raquel Rose, Interim Superintendent
