PREPARING FOR SUNDAY

There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. - Galations 3:28

God our refuge and hope, when race, status, or gender divide us, when despondency and despair haunt and afflict us, when community lies shattered: comfort and convict us with the stillness of your presence, that we may confess all you have done, through Christ to whom we belong and in whom we are one. Amen.

NOTE: There will be no Summer Sunday VBS or nursery care this Sunday.
All activities will resume on June 30th.

Thank you!

It was nice that Mother Nature cooperated with the Car Wash fundraiser for the Little Divas on Saturday. The weather was perfect for suds, scrubbing, and some silliness. Thanks to all the helpers and patrons in making the event a success. Between the carwash and the sponsorships we raised $513 for the Little Divas so they can order their new uniforms. Thank you again for your generosity towards our neighbors.
Children & Youth
Sunday School Vacation Day

This Sunday, June 23rd, is a vacation day for the Sunday School and Nursery Staff. Just this one week, we will take a break. Then on June 30th, St. Martin's continues the "Care of Creation" Summer Sundays.

The nursery will be available for parents on June 23rd, but please remain with your children. Alternatively, bring to your pew any toys that might entertain our youngest members during the 9:30 worship service. Nursery care resumes on June 30th with Ms. Deb.

Throughout the rest of the summer the children will explore the theme "Care of Creation." We will share ways to care for ourselves, our families, other people, and the world around us. Whenever possible our explorations will lead us outside and around St. Martin's beautiful property. There is so much to learn about caring right here in our own community. Children are encouraged to wear play clothing, and whenever possible bring family or friends who are visiting.

Each Sunday stands alone and no prior experience is required. We invite adults to participate too! Please contact Ms. Deb if you have suggestions or would like to learn more.

All Levels Yoga Class
Breathe, stretch, and destress!

The next St. Martin’s yoga class will be July 2nd, at 6:30 p.m in the Gurley Room. Enjoy this opportunity to indulge in some self-care. It's a great mind-body-soul experience!
Gryphon Cafe
A Midweek Gathering

The next Upper Room gathering is on Wednesday, June 26th, at 6:00 PM upstairs at the Gryphon Café, 105 W. Lancaster Ave, Wayne. Discussion will relate to "The Ethic of 'Toughness.' What does it mean to be tough? Pushing beyond your limits vs. taking care of yourself." Stop in on any 2nd or 4th Wednesday for some interesting conversation and fellowship.
