Gentle Yoga- CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex
Stay active, stretch muscles and reduce stress in a class modified for each individual Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. with a second class on Thursdays, 10:45 a.m. at the CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex, Lake Worth. The Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation Department will participate in the 2019 Family Health & Fitness Day Challenge on Sat, June 8 . Several of our facilities will be participating in the challenge, offering FREE * family health & fitness activities! *admission required for pool activity
Grand Opening Celebration of Shark Wake Park 561- Okeeheelee Park
Get ready to have fun as Shark Wake Park's Aqua Park and Cable Wake Park officially open with a grand opening celebration Sat, June 15 at Okeeheelee Park, west of West Palm Beach. Ribbon cutting is 10 a.m. , Shark Wake Park opens for business 11 a.m. Event will feature live music, food trucks, face painting and pro wakeboarding exhibitions.

Austin Blu Foundation Land & Sea Fishing Tournament- Burt Reynolds Park

This family-friendly tournament aims to support the education and outreach efforts of the foundation, which is dedicated to teach people about the importance of safety on the water.
Okeeheelee BMX Olympic Day- Okeeheelee Park
In celebration of Olympic Day, enjoy a FREE day of racing Sat, June 15, 9 a.m. at the BMX tracks at Okeeheelee Park, west of West Palm Beach. This event is put on by USA BMX, United States Olympic Committee and USA Cycling.

County Wins National Award for Video Series
The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department was selected as the recipient of a 2019 National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials (NACPRO) award in the Marketing category for the department's Destination Recreation video series. Destination Recreation is a video production that takes viewers through different parks and facilities, explaining amenities, history, and giving a behind-the-scenes look at how staff contribute to overall visitor experience. The series is created entirely in-house and includes a host, narration and staff interviews. Click here to view the video series.
