"Nights in The Ville", summer outdoor dining series
Swarthmore Town Center is happy to present “Nights in The Ville”, a series of outdoor dining events located in the heart of Swarthmore Village. On select Thursday evenings: June 17 & 24, July 8 & 22, and Aug 12 from 5:00–9:00 pm, Park Avenue will be closed to traffic from Chester Rd. to Dartmouth Ave. Local restaurants will be open for business with both indoor and outdoor seating in the parklets. Additional tables will be placed throughout the block for first-come-first-served seating. Place a takeout order, BYOB, and enjoy dinner at any one of our numerous community 4 and 6-top tables & chairs.

STC Accessibility Resource Page
Following a discussion forum held on April 13, STC has launched a new webpage with resources aimed at improving accessibility to buildings and public spaces in Swarthmore. Visit the page for forum presentation slides, info on the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, guides and checklists to get started on renovations, as well as Federal tax credits & deductions available as incentives.

Kandy Kids Sale, 5/31
Kandy Kids will be open 10am to 4pm on Memorial Day. They are offering 20% OFF all made in the USA toys and products. They are proud to have added many new made in the USA items this year. Support the excellent workmanship of these American made products.
Hobbs Coffee Extending Hours
Beginning June 3rd, Hobbs will be open Wednesday - Friday 7:00 am - 1:00 pm and Saturday/Sunday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. Stop by for a morning cup of Joe, or iced coffee to cool down!
Gallery on Park Pottery Pop-up
On Saturday, June 5th from 10am-noon, Krista Patton Pottery will be back at Gallery on Park with a wonderful selection of her pottery! Swing by and visit the pop-up shop on the sidewalk at 104 Park Ave. across from the Farmers Market.
If you can't make it this month, Krista will be back each First Saturday of the month!
Swarthmore Campus & Community Store Sale & Updates
Send a little love in the month of June - all greeting cards are buy one, get one free. Includes our stunning quilled cards, our Positively Green cards, even plantable cards that grow wildflowers! Second card must be of equal or lesser value. 
Swarthmore Campus & Community Store will be closed on May 31 for Memorial Day, and June 28 & 29 for inventory. New summer hours begin June 1st! The Store will be open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Colossal Book Sale at the Library
Swing by the Swarthmore Library lawn on Thursday, June 17 to stock up on summer reading material before you grab dinner at Nights in the Ville! The sale will run from 3:00-6:30 pm. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Swarthmore Public Library non-profit.

Stop by or online to shop gifts for Dads, Grads, and Teacher Thank Yous. Stop by the pop-up on Sat. June 19 to see Abby Dawes of A Handwritten Home with her wonderful wood creations. 9:00 am -12:00 pm.

Centennial Foundation offers Limited Series Art Print for Sale
The Swarthmore Centennial Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to take an active role in nurturing the unique essence of our diverse, and wonderful community. As a fundraiser, the Centennial Foundation commissioned artist Robert Bohné to paint a quintessential stretch of Park Avenue, featuring the umbrellas and greenery of the 2020 parklets. The print can be ordered online [HERE] or you may mail a check for $180 to the Swarthmore Centennial Foundation at PO Box 493, Swarthmore PA, 19081. Once an order is placed, you will receive an email from the Centennial Foundation with information about picking up the print.
Rotary Club Supports Food Banks
The Rotary Club of Swarthmore is having a “We’ll Feed You If You Feed the Hungry” event on Thurs. June 10, to raise money for local food pantries. Mail in or bring a check for at least $25 made out to your favorite food pantry, and then pick up a meal or two in the rear parking lot of The Inn at Swarthmore (10 S. Chester Road) between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. on June 10. Meal options include pulled pork with macaroni & cheese, chicken with rice, or vegetarian bean chili with cornbread. Register by sending an email to with the # and content of the meal(s) you want by June 6, so the Inn knows how much food to order and prepare.

Local food pantries include the Media Food Bank, CityTeam Chester, and the Pantry Staples Program (for PSP, make check out to Swarthmore Senior Citizens Association or SSCA).
