We have continued to share stories on our 40 for 40 page, including Leticia's, seen above. Leticia shares how working through NAPCA SCSEP has kept her active and happy in her life. Her story, along with others we are highlighting through the year, is really important for NAPCA because they shed light not only on the needs of our senior population but on their strength, resiliency, and continued need for support and hope.

We have shared additional stories through June, including Sothy and Min Ja. Keep an eye on our 40 for 40 Campaign page for regular updates!
June: Alzheimer's and Brian Awareness Month
NAPCA team member Frances Huynh shared insights regarding the specific impacts and challenges Alzheimer's and dementia presents for our AAPI elders through our partners at Diverse Elders. You can read Frances's post on the Diverse Elders Coalition blog here and learn about the impact of language and cultural barriers to diagnosis and treatment and more!
On Friday, June 21, NAPCA's Seattle Headquarters office conducted a listening session with Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) participants to learn about challenges seniors are currently facing in our community seeking employment. While sharing treats from a local Asian bakery, participants shared concerns and hopes for the program, their employment, and our community. We are looking forward to future opportunities to hear from our participants how we can better serve!
