Accordingly, implementing compensation practices legally is an area that requires careful attention, and may call for professional guidance.

Community Aid in Action

YCCSC and SCCAA are excited to share that thanks to a collaboration with CalCAPA and the California Department of Community Services & Development (CSD), local agencies like Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Sutter County Diaper Bank, Sutter County HHS and Cornerstone Church received vital supplies to help meet the basic needs of vulnerable families.

Community Action Plan Public Hearings will give community members an opportunity to comment on the 2026-2027 DRAFT Community Action Plan. The plan will serve as a guide for future distribution of Community Services Block Grant funds, to assist individuals and families most affected by poverty.

The Sedona Project: A Space for Healing and Connection

The Sedona Project is a nonprofit mental wellness center located at 500 Olive Street, Marysville, offering free peer support—both one-on-one and in group settings—along with guidance for navigating professional care. Their mission is simple but powerful: to provide a safe, judgment-free space where individuals and families can connect, share, and heal—together.

This year, Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way is excited to announce our 2025 tournament partner, the Yuba-Sutter Food Bank. Their tireless work feeding Yuba-Sutter is remarkable, averaging 32,000 people served monthly, working with 50 partner agencies and an average of 318,000 pounds of food distributed monthly.
