Reid smiles in front of a window looking out onto a garden.

Disability:IN's Director of Research, Reid Jewett Smith, Ph.D., set out to explore the landscape of self-identification. During her research, she found her own identity squarely in the middle of the subject.

This groundbreaking research paper contains recommendations around corporate disclosure of disability data, inclusive ways to define disability, and the importance of education in bringing more people to the conversation.

Honoring the Life of Wanda Rogers

Disability:IN was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Wanda Rogers. Wanda has been a pioneer in our movement since the beginning, she served as the Executive Director of the Disability:IN Uinta County Wyoming for 26 years.

She was a beautiful force who worked tirelessly across Wyoming to empower businesses to advance disability inclusion and equality. Under her leadership a strong mentorship program, which provides mentoring opportunities for high school students with disabilities was established. One way to honor Wanda’s legacy is to contribute to the Disability:IN Uinta County NextGen Mentoring programs by participating and/or contributing to their 5K Run Fundraiser on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 7:30.
