Meta, ABC Form Partnership to Launch Academy to Train and Create Jobs for Construction Craft Professionals

Meta Platforms Inc. and Associated Builders and Contractors have announced a partnership to educate and provide construction-ready career pathways for thousands of data center construction technicians kicking off in Indiana, Louisiana, Ohio and Texas as a meaningful step toward meeting the growing demand for data centers workers nationwide.

APPRENTICESHIP & TRAINING TRUST

• Apprenticeship Outreach

In his first year as Apprenticeship Outreach Coordinator, Daryle Wright wrapped up the 2025-2026 school year with:

• 77 + direct school interactions
• 21 career fairs
• 25 trailer events

In addition, he participated in numerous on-site events, conferences, and teacher presentations, impacting schools and communities across Iowa.

APPRENTICESHIP

• Apprenticeship Registration

Apprenticeship registration for the 2026-2027 school year will open July 8th and close August 5th. Registration will once again be through Flashpoint, information and details will be on our website.  

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

Registration for our Fall 2026 PAC Clay Shoots is now open:

• Central Iowa (Pella) - Thursday, September 24
• Eastern Iowa (Riverside) - Thursday, October 1

Donate to PAC

Merit shop contractors have greatly benefited from elected leaders who support our industry and our values. With that support, we've been able to pass important legislation protecting contractors from local government preferences toward union labor and increase apprentice ratios to 3:1.
