Adaptive Sports Grants

VA UPDATE: The Department of Veterans Affairs has posted the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the 2025-2026 Adaptive Sports Program with a reduced application period of just 30 days.


Grant Overview:

Eligible organizations can apply for grants ranging from $3,000 to $15,000 for programs serving disabled veterans and members of the Armed Services (from any era of service), but larger and smaller grants are awarded depending on the program scope and impact (# of Veterans served and program days provided).


Who Can Apply?


  • Member organizations in good standing are invited to apply
  • Member organizations must serve disabled Veterans and members of the Armed Services (from any era of service)
  • Eligible adaptive sport programs include:
  • Winter, summer, year-round recreational event/programs
  • Competition events
  • Up to 2 events/programs/competitions per organization can be submitted for consideration. Each deliverable can include more than one program (sport, recurring camp/event)


Application Deadline: June 15th

Training Grant Opportunity

Grant Overview:

In addition to the invitation for all member organizations to apply under our programmatic application, we are inviting organizations to host instructor training and education events under a second training focused application.


Member organizations may apply under Move United's programmatic and training applications.


Who Can Apply?

  • Member organizations in good standing are invited to apply
  • Member Organization must currently (or intend to) serve disabled Veterans and members of the Armed Services (from any era of service)
  • Any sport or recreation training activity can be included. It can be in person, virtual, or a combination of both methods.
  • More than one training activity may be submitted for consideration, but no more than 2 in total. Please submit a separate application for each.


Application Deadline: June 15th

The 4th annual Turns & Berms camp, a collaboration between the Kelly Brush Foundation (KBF) and Oregon Adaptive Sports (OAS), brought 20 adaptive athletes together in Bend, Oregon, for a powerful long weekend of skiing, mountain biking, and connection.

Jessica Cloy

Competition Manager

Jessica joined the Move United team in 2020 as the Competition Manager – Operations. Jessica has a B.S. in Kinesiology and M.S. in Community Health both from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. She is a four-time Paralympian and seven-time Paralympic medalist in track and field. Learn More about Jessica and her passion for adaptive sports.
