Happy Summer!

There's just something about the summertime: friends and neighbors out and about enjoying our community together! There's much on the horizon this season for our group and we're looking forward to it all. Check out the many events our fellow members are organizing and be sure to come out and show your support.

JUNE MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Our spotlight this month is on an organization that is also celebrating their 50th anniversary: the La Grange Park Public Library! Congrats on this incredible milestone! Learn more about the library here:

How long has your business/organization been around?

We were founded on June 16, 1975 and are celebrating our 50th anniversary this summer! A party will be held on June 14, 2025 from 5-8pm, in our parking lot. A special video has been created to speak to the "fifty years, countless stories", which is our tagline for the anniversary. The approximately 10-minute video will be played on a loop from 5-6pm in the Mary Lou Hurley Community Room on the evening of the party.

What are your key products/services?

As a library, most would know that we loan books, but our services go beyond books. We also offer downloads of all kinds, passes for local cultural institutions, equipment to check out, and more. We have a vast array of programming options for all ages! To register for a program, visit lplibrary.org/events regularly as the event calendar is continually updated. We also provide services like notaries, tech help, and study rooms. 

How do you hope the Chamber will help your business/organization grow?

We are always grateful to the Chamber for their support of our events, their partnership in advertising them, and the knowledge they share with us about the community for which we serve. It helps us reach our patrons to make them aware of our free services and helps us grow our visitors. It is important to us to attend the Chamber meetings as it is a great place to meet other businesses in our community. We have partnered and built relationships with many of them thanks to our membership. 

Outside of work, how do you enjoy spending your time?

Our staff have a lot of interests outside of the library, but you probably wouldn't be shocked to discover that many of us are voracious readers!

We are located at 555 North La Grange Road, La Grange Park, Illinois 60526. We are open 7 days a week and our open hours can be found here.

Run for the Roses 5K 2025 was a big success! Congrats to the 100+ amazing runners/walkers who participated! Thanks a million to our many sponsors, volunteers and partners ~ you all made the day possible and we are so excited to do it again next year!

The La Grange Park Chamber is proud to be a sponsor of the Community Park District's upcoming Wild Daisies concert on July 30, 7-8:30pm at Memorial Park! We will have a table for our members to display promo items of their choosing for the public. Please join us at this fun evening out in our town!

The Village of La Grange Park's State of the Village reception was a wonderful evening celebrating progress and learning about key initiatives ahead. We were also happy to speak on behalf of the Chamber's growth and plans for the year. The Village’s new branding was shared in this short video, and we look forward to seeing more of the new brand to be rolled out over the coming months.

CONGRATULATIONS to Shayne Hansen of Hop District on winning the regional 30 under 40 award with the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce! Such a well-deserved honor!! Hop District also just celebrated their 3 year anniversary ~ so much to celebrate!
