All.Space Relocates to US (The Shoals) Amid York Space Acquisition Process!

Satellite terminal developer All.Space has relocated from the U.K. to Alabama, emphasizing its commitment to U.S. defense priorities amid an acquisition by York Space Systems.

All.Space was founded in the U.K. and has been headquartered in Reading, Berkshire. The company announced Tuesday it has formally redomiciled to the U.S., selecting Florence-Muscle Shoals, Alabama, for a new technical and manufacturing hub.

All.Space already had an office in Baltimore, Maryland, and existing production capability in the U.S. It said this move will align the company with U.S. defense customers, suppliers, and the broader national security ecosystem

The company is currently in the process of being acquired by Colorado-based York Space Systems under a $355 million deal announced in late April.

AE Industrial Partners, which is the largest shareholder in York Space Systems, is developing an aerospace and defense center in that area of Alabama, with Hadrian as an anchor tenant.

In a recent conversation with Via Satellite about the acquisition, All.Space CEO Paul McCarter noted that the company has worked closely on its technology with the U.S. government, and that close cooperation influenced being acquired by a U.S. firm.

“They wanted us to be based in the U.S. or be owned by a U.S. company that provides the type of capability that they need,” McCarter said, adding “If you’ve got the best technology and you want to sell to the best customer, realistically your primary market is a U.S. market.”

All.Space said in a release that the move came after “sustained support and advocacy” from Alabama Republican Congressman Robert Aderholt.

“We are delighted to formally redomicile All.Space to the United States as we continue to expand within the U.S. defense ecosystem. Aligning the company more closely with our key customers and suppliers strengthens our ability to deliver mission-ready, resilient communications capabilities at pace and at scale,” McCarter said in a release.
