285 Tourism Update

Happy June and Happy Father's Day!
June begins the unofficial summer with warmer and sunnier days are ahead. June is a great time to get out to our local merchants and celebrate the warmer days. Also be sure to pick up all your Father’s Day gifts from our local mountain merchants. The Tourism committee is discontinuing the 285 Tourism application as the company that made it won’t keep updating it with the latest software versions. You can still get our feather banners to promote your big event this month.
 
New Business:  The committee discussed a board marketing plan for the summer months to help get the tourists on our roads to stop and enjoy some of what the corridor has to offer. Currently we are discussing a video to be shared on Facebook that highlights the best of the corridor. The exact plan is still being worked on and we are very open to hearing your ideas. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June, 14th 5:35 p.m. at Mad Jack’s Mountain Brewery in Bailey.

Current Business:  We will continue to discuss what to use the funds for from the Colorado Tourism grant. We are leaning toward doing signs for both Bailey & Conifer. This is a very open and interactive group. We are always looking for new ideas.
