Before activating an initiative aimed to help 100,000 people rise out of poverty in five years, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPSNJ) needed to build an effective, branded outreach campaign. J2 Design, UWGPSNJ’s branding consultant, engaged ESI to complete research into the conditions that have sustained poverty in the region to inform the campaign’s messaging. Learn more.

The USDOT is accepting applicants for the FY 2021 round of the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) discretionary grant program (formerly BUILD and TIGER) to fund transportation projects of national and regional significance to help boost employment. We welcome Melissa Wright to the ESI team, joining as an Associate Director. Melissa joins us from her previous role at Teach for America.

Susan Baltake has been appointed as the Mayor’s representative to the Planning Board in the Borough of Haddonfield NJ, as they begin to tackle affordable housing and other challenges. She previously served 15+ years on the Borough’s Zoning Board of Adjustment.
