Provide Feedback to Help Create a Climate-Friendly Santa Clara County
How can you make your home more comfortable while reducing air pollution? How can we improve County transportation networks to make your daily commute hassle-free? These are a few of the questions that the County and its partners are tackling to best foster a climate-friendly future for ourselves and future generations. In its Climate Roadmap 2030, the County has drafted strategies to combat climate change, create livable communities, and restore natural spaces – all while promoting equity in the community. When the right climate actions are taken, not only do we reduce our impact on the planet, but we also better serve the needs of our community.

Santa Clara County wants to know what you think! To help ensure the Roadmap reflects the community’s needs and values, review the draft actions and provide your input today!

Plant-Based Eating Tip of the Month
Last summer, we kicked off our plant-based eating program focused on promoting healthy and ethical food choices, supporting equitable access to healthy food, and spreading awareness about the positive health and environmental impacts of a plant-based diet.

June Tip: Start with simple plant-based swaps. Swapping out meat and dairy products for plant-based alternatives a couple of days a week can have a big impact! Simple swaps include plant-based milks for cow milk, and tofu, tempeh, or lentils for meat. Making just a few swaps a week can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve water, and benefit our ecosystems.
