The Reopen Hillsborough County anonymous survey aims to create a community wide conversation about economic efforts, public safety measures and other recovery actions. Tampa City Council public hearings resume June 4
The Tampa City Council will return to in-person meetings starting Thursday, June 4 to handle dozens of public hearings that were delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. City Council will hold each meeting at the Tampa Convention Center, which will allow for social distancing, while providing the opportunity for applicant presentations and public comment. Quasi-judicial and Plan Amendment hearings would be every Thursday night in June (4, 11, 18, 25) and Tuesday afternoon, June 23.
City of Tampa Parks finalist for National Gold Medal
The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department is a finalist for the 2020 National Gold Medal Awards for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management from The American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration, in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association. Tampa is a finalist, for the third consecutive year, in the 150,001-400,000 population category. Winners will be announced in October. The Westshore District is home to seven parks, two community centers, a public pool, public golf course, an art studio, and the Courtney Campbell Trail.
