Town Hall of Business: Opioid Crisis
On Tuesday, May 21 the Penfield, Webster, Irondequoit and Brighton Chambers hosted a Town Hall of Business. Over 50 people attended to hear how this epidemic is affecting our local community. Our thanks to Huther Doyle, the Monroe County Sheriff's Department and Monroe County Health Department for presenting.

On Wednesday, May 22 Town of Penfield Supervisor Tony LaFountain and members of the Penfield Chamber and Town Board welcomed PerformAthletix to their new location in the rear of Panorama Plaza.

On Monday, June 17, 2019, the Kiwanis Club of Penfield-Perinton Foundation, Staff Volunteers from the Town of Penfield and Penfield Rotary Club will be hosting their 28th annual Charity Golf Tournament at Shadow Lake Golf Club.

Town of Penfield hosts Independence Day Festivities, June 29th
The Town of Penfield is hosting a day of celebration for Independence Day on Saturday June 29th. Parade (10am), bands and food (6-10pm), and fireworks (10pm).

There will be lots of traffic changes. Please check the town website for details.

Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf -- Summer Help for Kids
The Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf distributes summer food to families who qualify for free and reduced lunch through the school district. This summer we have over 50 families signed up to receive food. We are in need of some additional items for our July (and August) distributions.  For more information, please contact the Food Shelf .

Food needed by July 1st:
  • 60 applesauce jars or cups
  • 50 cans of chicken breasts
  • 60 packages of cheese or peanut butter crackers
  • 150 cans of ravioli
  • 100 cans of tuna fish
  • 120 jars of jelly (plastic jars)
  • 260 boxes of macaroni and cheese
  • 56 jars of mayonnaise
  • 160 packages of ramen noodles
Drivers and Dispatchers Needed for Bri-Pen Senior Rides
This community volunteer transportation service is for seniors age 65 and older who require transportation to medical appointments, religious services and town community centers. Clients must be ambulatory and not on oxygen (Canes and walkers are fine. Service cannot accommodate wheelchairs.)

VOLUNTEER DRIVERS AND DISPATCHERS ARE NEEDED!   Volunteer drivers are screened and trained by Lifespan’s Give a Lift program and they receive supplemental insurance for their services. Dispatchers work out of their home one day a week 3 hours or less.
