Water Resilience Coalition Releases 2023 Impact Report | |
The Water Resilience Coalition has released its 2023 Impact Report "Turning Ambition into Action." The report highlights the Coalition’s significant strides to convene the private sector towards ambitious 2030 global water goals.
The Pacific Institute plays a leadership role. The Coalition is an initiative of the CEO Water Mandate, a partnership between the Pacific Institute and the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
Learn more in the Impact Report about the Water Resilience Coalition’s plan to expand collective action to 100 global basins by 2030. By the end of 2023, 35 global companies with operations in more than 140 countries were part of the Coalition.

Report Launch: WASH Benefits Accounting Framework | |
The CEO Water Mandate and WASH4Work launched the "WASH Benefits Accounting Framework" this month.
This innovative framework is designed to help companies calculate and communicate the socioeconomic, environmental, and institutional benefits of investments in safely managed and climate-resilient WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) services.

Pacific Institute Represented at 10th World Water Forum | |
The Pacific Institute was recently tapped for its expertise at the 10th World Water Forum in Bali, Indonesia. The World Water Forum is one of the largest global gatherings of the water sector, meeting once every three years.
Pacific Institute President and Head of the CEO Water Mandate Jason Morrison spoke last month at the Forum’s Executive Roundtable Dialogue.
“Flowing Forward Faster: Best Practices in Corporate Water Stewardship” explored innovative strategies, impactful initiatives, and real-world case studies that demonstrate effective corporate water management and water sustainability efforts from the CEO Water Mandate. The event was hosted by the Indonesia Global Compact Network .

The WASH Pledge signals a company’s commitment to taking action towards providing universal access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) across its operations, supply chains, and the communities where they operate.

This week, Pacific Institute Senior Fellow and Co-Founder Dr. Peter Gleick and Senior Researchers Michael Cohen and Dr. Sonali Abraham were featured at the American Water Works Association's ACE24 in Anaheim, California.
Cohen's session, "Saving the Oasis: Strategies for a Resilient Colorado River" highlighted strategies for a resilient Colorado River. Dr. Abraham's session "Saving Water in Affordable Housing, One Leaky Toilet at a Time" featured a recent Pacific Institute case study. Dr. Gleick gave the keynote address, "Water 2050 Ideas into Action: Creating our Water 2050 Future."
