2020 Legislative Wrap-Up
"During the shortened session, the Colorado Senior Lobby (CSL) took official positions on 56 bills: 28 supported, 5 strongly supported, 1 support if amended, 1 opposed, and 21 monitor or neutral. CSL’s Legislative Committee actively monitored or lobbied these bills, including seeking specific amendments to the bills where appropriate and providing input to legislative sponsors, committees and staff on these and related legislative issues. The CSL’s “Capital Gang”, in particular, advocated on a regular basis for our positions ..."
Governor’s Community Engagement Update June 19th
"... Colorado is the only state in the Pacific or Mountain time zones that is seeing a steady decline in case counts. We are pleased by this progress, but as said before, this doesn’t mean we can let up. Nobody wants to see those trendlines turn around. "On June 8, 2020, the Colorado Senior Lobby Legislative Committee hosted Elizabeth Garner with the Colorado State Demographer, and Michelle Kobayashi, the expert on Colorado’s Assessment Survey of Older Adults (CASOA). We know prescription drug costs are a big concern for many Coloradans and this is the first in a a series of virtual events to jumpstart a campaign to bring down drug prices for Coloradans.
