JUNE NEWS
June / 4 / 2018
Dear Forest Hills Family and Friends,

We can hardly believe that the 26th Annual Golf Tournament & Awards Banquet is already upon us, in just 2 weeks on June 18th! As you know, this fun-filled event is the only major fundraiser for Forest Hills and we always appreciate the support from our community. Read on in this newsletter for more information on how to register if you'd like to attend, or how to sponsor if you'd like to support us from afar!

As always, we have plenty of great Life Enrichment programs to look forward to this month! Be sure to browse this newsletter for highlights of our programs and for the full Life Enrichment June 2018 calendar.

Also in this newsletter, you will find a story about our recent intergenerational event, held in conjunction with our neighboring community organizations. It is always a joy to see young and old come together to share and celebrate their similarities and differences.

Thank you to all of the family and friends we get to see visiting us at Forest Hills. Hope to see you around!

Sending my warm regards,

FAMILY CORNER

Did you know...

In 2014, we celebrated our 125th year and officially changed our name from The Methodist Home of DC to Forest Hills of DC to better reflect the broad spectrum of residents, families and friends we serve in the area of the city known as Forest Hills.
26th Annual Golf Tournament & Awards Banquet
Monday, June 18, 2018 at Norbeck Country Club

There is still time to sign up for the 26th Annual Golf Tournament. You won't want to miss our special guest speaker: Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist, Joe Krebs!

Year-round, the staff at Forest Hills and Forest Side dedicate themselves to providing person-centered care to ensure the highest quality of life for our residents. On Monday, June 18th we offer our community the opportunity to support the work we do through our only major fundraiser: the Annual Golf Tournament and Awards Banquet.

Even if you do not play golf, you can still participate by taking advantage of various event sponsorships, joining us for the Awards Banquet, or simply by making a tax deductible contribution.

Please feel free to invite your friends and colleagues to join us for this fun event! For sponsorship, donation and registration information, click here.

Forever Young, Forever Fun in Forest Hills

Last month Forest Hills of DC welcomed children, seniors and "kids of all ages" to enjoy stories, music and a craft at the first ever "Forever Young, Forever Fun in Forest Hills." The event was a collaboration between our Life Enrichment Director Linda Moreno, and other local organizations: Cleveland Park Library, Northwest Neighbors Village, and Friends of Forest Hills Playground.

It was a wonderful event for everyone! If you're interested in reading more about the event in the Forest Hills Connection:
