The mission of the Indiana Council on World Affairs is to foster public understanding of world conditions and U.S. foreign policy through forums, lectures, conference and publications. The Indiana Council on World Affairs [ICWA], operating continuously since 1955, is a member council of the World Affairs Councils of America [WACA]. Various perspectives on complex but critical matters of global significance are considered in meetings open to the public. Each year, it develops and manages the Distinguished Speakers program. Also, it administers theGreat Decisionsseries of theForeign Policy Association [FPA]. To promote international studies among high school students, it operates theAcademic WorldQuest [AWQ].
