Senior Humor

Four men are in the hospital waiting room because their wives are having babies.

A nurse goes up to the first guy and says, "Congratulations! You're the father of twins."

"That's odd," replies the man. "I work for the Minnesota Twins!"

A nurse says to the second guy, "Congratulations! You're the father of triplets!"

"That's weird," says the second man. "I work for the 3M company!"

A nurse tells the third man, "Congratulations! You're the father of quadruplets!"

"That's strange," he responds. "I work for the Four Seasons hotel!"

The last man is groaning and banging his head against the wall.

"What's wrong?" the others ask.
"I work for 7-Eleven!"

testimonialWe're Delighted to Hear from Families About Our Exceptional Care!

A Satisfied Client's 5-Star Review:

"We have been with Visiting Angels since January. They're terrific. They provide a health aide for mom; we always refer to her as God's gift. She is wonderful. She does housekeeping, makes sure mom has an exercise sheet, and makes sure mom does the exercises, like walking every day. If it's bad weather, they just walk in the hallway of the five-story building. She does the laundry, too. She was hired with specifications [of what] we needed, and she does exactly what you ask her to do."

motherFather's Day Trivia

Sonora Louise Smart Dodd, of Spokane, Washington, started the tradition of Father's Day in the honor of her dad, William Smart, a widowed Civil War veteran.

In 1924, President Calvin Coolidge made Father's Day a national event.

In 1966, President Lyndon Johnson signed a presidential proclamation declaring the 3rd Sunday of June as Father's Day.

Roses are the official flower for Father's Day. A red rose is worn in the lapel if your father is living, a white rose if he is deceased.

72 percent of Americans plan to celebrate or acknowledge Father's Day.

Estimated number of fathers in the US: 70.1 million (2008), according to US Census Bureau.

Stats from Hallmark: Father's Day is the fourth-largest card-sending holiday in the United States, with 72 million cards exchanged annually. 50 percent of all Father's Day cards are purchased for dads. Nearly 20 percent of Father's Day cards are purchased for husbands. Other categories include grandfathers, sons, brothers, uncles, and someone special. Humor cards account for about 25 percent of Father's Day sales. Hallmark has been producing Father's Day cards since the early 1920s.

With many new and existing families to care for, the team schedules "just the right" home care employees for our families, responds to the ever-changing care needs of each family, monitors and manages our certified home health aide employees, and recruits and trains home care professionals to Visiting Angels' unique philosophy of care. Our team is fully dedicated to providing the best home care experience for clients, families, and our employees as well!

AboutOurCareAbout Our Care

Visiting Angels is a New Jersey-licensed, non-medical home care company committed to going well beyond the "industry standard" to provide an exceptional level of security, comfort and peace of mind to our clients and their loved ones. Our "Angels", all certified home health professionals , are ready to provide compassionate and dependable assistance with the activities of everyday living to seniors, the disabled, those recovering from surgery and to those who are simply frail. Our services include such simple tasks as light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands and shopping to more personal tasks such as hygiene assistance, bathing, dressing and grooming.
Visiting Angels ' in-home care helps make it possible for seniors and other adults to continue to live at home and maintain the independence of their daily routines and familiar surroundings, safely. We truly understand how challenging and alien the entire home care selection process can be...and we are experienced in working with families; with loved ones "resistant" to receiving care; and with third-parties payors (such as insurance companies and the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs) to help insure that the best interests of the family and their loved ones are met.

Visiting Angels' services help families spend more mutually-rewarding and meaningful time with their loved ones and also helps provide comfort and peace of mind to those who face the challenge of long-distance caregiving.
