Hello Lisa,
June is a time of reflection, celebration, and action. At WE CAN, we proudly stand in solidarity with both the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride Month and the Black community as we honor and celebrate Juneteenth. These moments remind us of the importance of equity, visibility, and the ongoing work needed to ensure justice and inclusion for all.
We’re also filled with pride over the 19th annual A Day of Words, Wit and Wisdom (W3). It was a huge success thanks to the energy, generosity, and joy shared by our incredible community. Thank you to everyone who made this inspiring day possible!
As always, WE CAN is here for women across Cape Cod. Whether you're navigating change, seeking guidance, or simply looking for support, our team provides free and confidential services in a safe, welcoming space. We offer information, education, legal consultations, mentoring, business support, and more. Need support or want to learn more about how WE CAN can help? Call 508-430-8111 or visit www.wecancenter.org. We’re here for you every step of the way.

A Day of Words, Wit & Wisdom
Last week, we held our 19th Annual A Day of Words, Wit, and Wisdom (“W3”). It truly was a day filled with inspiration, hope, and joy. We were thrilled to welcome back the incomparable Hank Phillippi Ryan as our emcee. We were also deeply inspired by our featured authors: Tamara Lanier, Nita Prose, and Lisa Genova. Each sharing powerful stories, insights, and reflections that added so much meaning to the day.
This year, it was a joy to celebrate Claudia Goldin as WE CAN’s 2025 Woman of the Year. A Nobel Laureate in Economics, Goldin was recognized for her groundbreaking research on women’s labor market outcomes and the gender pay gap.
Please enjoy some of the photos from W3 below. We are grateful to Lydia Leclair from Lydia Leclair Photography for capturing moments from the day! Click here to view more.
