Pesticide Action
Considering alternatives
As the days grow longer and warmer here in the Wood River Valley, Blaine County residents and businesses are jumping to get a head start on readying their lawns and gardens for summer months. Too often, this involves spraying and applying harmful and toxic chemicals.

The ERC's Pesticide Action program is working to reduce the use of pesticides, herbicides and synthetic fertilizers in the Wood River Valley.

In April, the Idaho Mountain Express published a guest opinion from Executive Director Hadley DeBree about the adverse effects of spraying chemicals in our community.
