Summer Sailstice was founded in 2001 by John Arndt. Summer Sailstice is a global sailing holiday celebrated on the weekend closest to the summer solstice. The event, created to unite the sailing community in a multifaceted, multi-location event, unites nearly 20,000 sailors from all over the globe. Cruisers, racers and recreational sailors hit the water on Summer Sailstice day to celebrate and showcase life under sail.
 
Join us for this 5+ hour event!
 
This is the perfect opportunity to sharpen your sail trimming skills and socialize with other sailing enthusiasts.

The May 8 & 9 Spinnaker & Sail Trim Clinics were a huge success. Students had fun and gained a wealth of knowledge about sail trim and spinnaker sailing.

Rum Races 2021

Three, Two, One, GO! Put your week end into high gear and head to South Coast Sailing Adventures to join us for the Rum Races! The Rum Race Series is an annual event sponsored by the Galveston Bay Cruising Association and Cruzan Rum. The races are designed to be fun, informal racing. They are open to sailors of all ages and experience levels, and are a great opportunity for anyone to get some sailing experience in a competitive environment. The total course length is 11 nautical miles.

Harvest Moon Regatta 2021

The Harvest Moon Regatta® is an annual offshore sailboat race from Galveston, Texas to Port Aransas, Texas. The regatta is rich in history and is celebrated by racers all along the Gulf Coast and beyond. Sailors can earn ASA 103, 104 and 106 during the race. Call for details.
