COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SIGN UP

Congratulations to the Class of 2024! This year's graduates included a record-blasting 95 seniors who had participated in Hands4Hope programs, significantly overtaking last year's record of 45 seniors. We are so proud of each and every one of these participants! Follow us on Instagram & Facebook where we have posted special features about some of these grads, including quotes from them about their experiences with Hands4Hope.

SEE ALL THE 2024 GRADUATES!

The 14 on-campus middle and high school Hands4Hope Clubs have wrapped up their year-long service-learning experience that includes five components: investigation, planning/preparation, action, reflection, and demonstration. We encourage you to join us in congratulating all the participants by viewing their demonstration slideshows.

CLUB PROJECTS 2024

The new Hands4Hope Essentials Committee will host monthly essential item distributions to provide food, clothing, and toiletries to those in need, run resource closets at middle and high schools, assist with pop-up shops for homecoming and prom, and facilitate collection drives within the community for food, toiletries, clothing and shoes. Youth in 7th-12th grades are invited to participate in this year-long after-school committee. Meet new friends from a wide variety of backgrounds while working together on this common cause, and making a difference for those most in need. Adult mentors are needed too!

ESSENTIALS COMMITTEE INTEREST SURVEY

It's June, which means it's time to kick off the 11th Annual Hands4Hope School Supply Drive! We are once again aiming to provide more than 700 students in Kindergarten through 12th grade with the supplies they need to have a successful start to the school year. Our youth-led committee of 15 is working hard to get Hands4Hope collection bins to business and community partners in locations that span Folsom to Placerville, so that donors can conveniently drop off backpacks, notebooks, calculators, and other supplies. Check back in about a week for our list of donation drop-off sites, save the date of July 17 for the "Stuff the Bus" event, and you can start shopping our Amazon wish list now! It takes a village, and we appreciate the people and partnerships that help us make these opportunities happen.

MEET SARAH

The Latrobe Fund, founded by local philanthropists, has provided essential funding for various Hands4Hope projects for five years. Managing Director Liz Drummond sat down with us to discuss why Latrobe Fund has supported the mission of Hands4Hope so strongly, and steadfastly. We are deeply grateful to Latrobe Fund for their support!
