Our 2020 events are changing
To protect the health and safety of our members, speakers, and attendees, and in consideration of reduced capacity limits for in-person events, TaxForward has made the decision to convert the remainder of our 2020 events to virtual, with the following additional changes:
  • We're adding events such as roundtable discussions with tax and financial leaders
  • Master Tax Mixers - now "Brown Bag Master Tax Mixers" (thanks Bryan Jackson!). Bring your lunch to our networking happy half hour before presentations. which are now free to participate. If you would like CPE/CLE certification, the cost is $10 for non-members.
  • Tax Detox & Summer Picnic - we're combining into one virtual detox and barbecue moving to July 16th. Put on your chef's hat and join us, we'll have a trivia contest, great conversation, and a contest for who has the best looking homemade barbecue!
  • 4th National Conference - date and structure will be changing, more information will be released in a separate email. Don't worry - there will still be opportunities to network and have fun! Refunds will be available up to 14 days before the rescheduled event.
  • Bali Tax Retreat - will be moving to 2021.
The Six Foot Game Show is returning!
Series 2 of the The Six Foot Game Show is returning this summer. We’re teaming up with state CPA societies to bring you all new teams, new questions, and new laughs. Each team will include one player from industry, one player from public, and one player from the society to represent that state’s CPA society. Pick and support your favorite– will it be California? Colorado? Texas? Another? Watch for more information, coming soon!
Get answers to your tax questions from experts in the field
TaxForward’s TaxForum will be launching this month. In the TaxForum, community members will be able to ask tax questions for volunteer subject matter experts and fellow community members to answer, plus seek professional advice, vent about job stress, and more. Additionally, community members will have access to special content, such as influencer interviews. The forum will be moderated so that it will not be abused (no spamming or advertising). Community members manage their profile and decide what information to share and how, and how frequently to receive information from the forum.

TaxForum is free for TaxForward and FTL members and university students of participating programs, and $99 for 3 months of access for all others. As a special promotion, our email subscribers have until June 30, 2020, to opt in to receive 3 months of access free! Opt in here.
Tax Department Heroes: Cash Saving Opportunities

In this article, we provide a list of stones to turn in your search to help save cash for your company. Read the full article here.
