Whether you joined us in person or were with us in spirit, we’re excited to share photos from our recent Community Breakfast Fundraiser, and they capture so many powerful moments of connection and purpose.

This year, we were able to raise nearly $80k. It was a morning filled with hope and community — and the work continues. If you’d like to help us keep showing up for survivors, there’s still time to support.

South Valley Services’ Tooele Survivor Advocacy Center was recently featured in a KSL-TV news segment, shining a light on the resources available to survivors of domestic violence in Tooele County. The story shared how our team provides emergency shelter, legal advocacy, case management, and housing support—all designed to help survivors find safety and rebuild their lives.

Media coverage plays a critical role in reaching survivors who may not know help exists. By amplifying the message that free, confidential support is available close to home, the segment helps break the silence that often surrounds domestic violence and reminds survivors they are not alone.

In honor of Pride Month, South Valley Services is uplifting the voices and experiences of LGBTQIA+ survivors in our community. Check out our blog, “Understanding Domestic Violence in the LGBTQIA+ Community,” which explores how domestic violence can uniquely impact LGBTQIA+ individuals through identity-based abuse, the fear of being outed, and a lack of affirming support systems. These challenges are real, but so is the resilience of the community. We’re committed to creating safer, more inclusive spaces where every survivor is seen, heard, and supported.

Save the Date: Horizon Arts Festival

The Horizon Arts Festival will be on Friday, July 19, from 5 to 10 p.m. at Downtown Daybreak.

LiveDAYBREAK will host a silent auction at the festival to benefit South Valley Services, with a fundraising goal of $25,000. The event aims to bring the community together to educate, demonstrate and showcase art in all forms.

Community members are invited to attend in person or participate in the auction online. The silent auction opens online at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, and will close at 9 p.m. Saturday, July 19, during the festival.
