Tahoma Northwest, previously Dads MOVE, was founded with a clear purpose: to ensure fathers have a place to be heard, supported, and empowered. From the beginning, the focus was on helping dads find their voice through peer support and shared experience, recognizing the vital role they play in strengthening families and communities.
As the organization has grown, so have its services, expanding to support all members of the community while staying rooted in that original mission. Even as Tahoma Northwest reaches more families, it remains deeply committed to uplifting fathers and preserving the heart of what started it all.
This Father’s Day, we honor the strength, resilience, and dedication of fathers everywhere.

Community Agency Spotlight
Kids’ Mental Health—Pierce County (KMHPC) is a coalition of people and agencies in Pierce County that are joining together to address the growing behavioral health crisis among school age children and youth.
Mission.: Kids’ Mental Health – Pierce County is dedicated to developing a coordinated, responsive behavioral health system that serves the needs of children, youth, and families at the right time, in the best place, with the best outcomes for them. KMHPC coordinates with initiatives focused on young children to create a continuum of behavioral health services starting at birth.

The 2026 Juneteenth Freedom Festival and People’s March is being held on Saturday, June 13th, 2026. The Freedom Festival will be held from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Evergreen Rotary Park in Bremerton. There will be free food, vendors, live music, rich culture, and historical artifacts documenting the timeline and history of Juneteenth.
