The Becoming Beloved Community Ministry of St. Barnabas’ Episcopal Church invites you to join us in a zoom book study and discussion on dismantling racism and transforming the church. The book to be discussed is: Baptized in Tear Gas: From White Moderate to Abolitionist by Elle Dowd. We will be discussing the book, 3 chapters at a time via zoom. Everyone is invited to support Family Promise of Northern NCC in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community on Saturday morning, June 11 at Tubman Garrett Park. This is the first live, in-person community gathering for this event since 2019. It offers our St. Barnabas parishioners some fellowship, exercise, a chance to invite a friend along , and a great way to support Family Promise in the successful work they are doing to end homelessness. There are options to register as a walker, gather some pledgers to raise funds, or simply make a donation. Be sure to make your selections as part of Team St. Barnabas! Workcamp Community Gift - our workcampers will be travelling to Scranton, PA this year! Our host city requests the following items to share with the residents that we serve. Shopping List: nonperishable food items; household kitchen items including: eating and cooking utensils, pots, pans, bowls, plates, and can openers.There is a collection box in the back of church appropriately marked. Shopping lists are on the cabinets in the back of the church. Last day to donate is Saturday, July 2 at noon! As always, thank for your generosity!
