SCAC Code Expires June 30th

If you have a SCAC code, it will need to be renewed by June 30th. Has your carrier

asked for a SCAC code? Some carriers require a SCAC code as a form of identification

for their owner-operators. A SCAC code is a two to four letter code used to identify

owner-operators. It can also be used for a carrier’s broker to track assigned loads. We

can process this for you for $125.

2290 Expires June 30th

Heavy Highway Use Tax Form 2290 for 2019-2020 expires June 30th. Your 2290 renewal

for 2020 must be paid before the end of August to avoid late fees. We can file for

renewals beginning July 1st. Our fee is $65 for the first truck and $40 for each additional

truck.

Tags Expiring and Renewals Due

Tags beginning with K and L expire June 30th. Those of you with tags beginning with M

or N should send us your paperwork now to avoid late filing penalties. If your tag begins

with O or P, the IRP office is requesting that your renewal paperwork be turned in by June

15th. Our tag work processing fee begins at $76.

Drug and Alcohol Clearing House

Drug and Alcohol Clearing House:

January 6, 2020 is the mandatory effective date for the use of the Clearinghouse

mandated by Congress to report and query information about driver drug and alcohol

program violations. Employers must conduct both electronic queries within the

Clearinghouse and manual inquiries with previous employers to cover the preceding three

years. The Clearinghouse will improve highway safety by helping employers, FMCSA,

State Driver Licensing Agencies, and State law enforcement to quickly and efficiently

identify drivers who are not legally permitted to operate commercial motor vehicles

(CMVs) due to drug and alcohol program violations. This secure online database will

provide access to real-time information, ensuring that drivers committing these violations

complete the necessary steps before getting back behind the wheel, or performing any
