FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Smart Start of Forsyth County is honored 2022 Leaders In Diversity Award

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Triad Business Journal has named Smart Start of Forsyth County as one of fourteen leading individuals and employers that have worked to establish and advance diversity and inclusion efforts in their workplace and community.

TBJ sought nominations for organizations and individuals who prioritized equality across all areas of diversity, including age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, and socio-economic backgrounds. For the purposes of the award, TBJ defines diversity as having people of diverse backgrounds in the workforce and in management. Inclusion means that those diverse people have a voice in the planning and operations of the company or organization and engagement across all levels of the organization.

"We are delighted that the Triad Business Journal is recognizing our organization for advancing SSFC's work in the community toward advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in Forsyth County for all Forsyth County Children and Families", states Dr. Louis Finney Jr, the President and CEO of Smart Start of Forsyth County. The honorees will be recognized on June 23rd at N.C. A&T State University.

SSFC would like to take a moment to thank and recognize our staff for working together to prepare for the Juneteenth Festival held on June 18th! Without their willingness to help, we wouldn't have been able to giveaway over 200 bags filled with resources to the Forsyth County community!

We'd also like to thank the families and individuals that visited our booth! We look forward to more community events in the future!
