Plans for a multi-million dollar investment in our commercial district are moving forward.
The Zoning Board of Appeals at its June 5 meeting was scheduled to hear and approve a proposal for a two-lane drive-up ATM for a planned one-story bank at 5813-29 N. Milwaukee Ave. Chase is seeking to build a new one-story facility immediately adjacent to and south of its current two-story building, which will be demolished after the new one is up and running. Bank operations will remain open on the site during construction.
In addition, according to city permit information, a new auto parts store is planning to open at 5316 N. Milwaukee Ave., where Advanced Auto Parts was once located.
Also, construction is continuing on the new 7-Eleven and Exxon gas station at Milwaukee and Devon avenues.
