I am happy to report that the 2nd Annual Town of Lynnfield Healthy Living Expo held on the Lynnfield Common on Saturday, May 20th was a fantastic success! The weather tried to dampen everyone’s spirits, but the enthusiasm of the volunteers, vendors and residents was not to be undone. We extend our thanks and appreciation to the
Town of Lynnfield and in particular, Peg Sallade and her team as well as Phil Crawford- the Lynnfield Board of Selectman Chair for all of their efforts and the fantastic job that they did in organizing and orchestrating this very successful community event.
Continuing with the norm on the first Thursday of every month, we had another very successful monthly Breakfast Club Networking on Thursday June 1st at Brother’s here on Main St. in Wakefield. Once again, this month we had a number of “first timers” joining us and adding their ideas and thoughts to the on-going conversations while enjoying their breakfast with networking peers. It only takes a few minutes and the cost of a cup of coffee on the first Thursday of the month to stop by Brothers and see what your peers have known for quite a long time. You will be glad you did.
Wakefield Bowladrome was the site of our 3rd Annual Bowling FUN Raiser and what a night it was. We had a very enthusiastic crowd and a number of very competitive and fun- loving teams all competing to be crowned the Chamber Bowling Champion for 2023! We crowned new Champions and welcomed an old back into the winning circle: 1st CERES Group , 2nd Holiday Travel (past Champion) and 3rd Creations Coffee.
On Saturday June 3, 2023 in conjunction with Wakefield PD and Subaru of Wakefield, we held a very successful Catalytic Converter etching/engraving program. This etching program is one which we hope will help prevent the theft of Catalytic Converters. We want to extend the Chambers heartfelt thanks and appreciation to both the Wakefield Police Department and Subaru of Wakefield for their generous support and participation with this program. We have received a lot of very positive feedback from the participants of this unique program and inquiries as to whether we might host another. Stay tuned and keep your eyes open for a second potential catalytic converter etching event.
Please remember our partnership with the Wakefield Food Pantry in promoting a new program and raising community awareness of the importance and the on-going needs of the Wakefield Food Pantry - the SHOP LOCAL - FEED LOCAL program! Beginning June 9 through the 18, 2023, when you shop local and spend $50 or more at any local WAKEFIELD business, a contribution of $10 will be made to the Wakefield Food Pantry’s Kids First Program, providing kid -friendly food to Wakefield families in need.
