May was a busy month for We Are Oglesby officers and community volunteers.
On Saturday, May 20th, Tag Day raised $1,524.91! Thank you to all who donated and volunteered. Because of your generosity, we will be able to bring more great community events and improvements to Oglesby!
On Sunday, May 21st, our officers along with community volunteers spent the day cleaning the memorials and power washing the sidewalks at Memorial Park. We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful park.
We are looking forward to the Summer Fun Fest Kick-off Party this Saturday, June 10th, 5:00pm, at the Oglesby Pool. We will have a Ducky Derby along with a cook-out and cake walk! Enjoy an evening of family fun to kick-off the week of Summer Fun Fest.
The City of Oglesby Summer Fun Fest offers something for everyone. Free entertainment, a beer garden, town-wide garage sales, a craft and vendor show, the BEST carnival around, a variety of food vendors, sweet treats and an amazing fireworks finale.
They are also bringing back the Red, White, and Bike parade on Saturday, June 17th. Decorate bikes, trikes, strollers, wagons, walkers, or mini floats. Line up at 10:30am at City Hall. Parade steps off at 11:00am down Dale Ave to the Dickinson House. Once there, face painting, refreshments and the best-ever raffle for family Summer Fun adventures await!
