This week, our Youth of the Year finalists had the privilege of being recognized on the House and Senate floors at Legislative Hall in Dover. While there, representatives spoke of their own experiences with Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware and the impact it had on their lives. Included in the remarks was Rep. Larry Lambert, a former Youth of the Year!

Our Greater Newark Boys & Girls Club had the privilege of receiving two Gatorade Play It Forward grants awarded to the organization by Rob Wright and Emma Kirby, who were recently named Gatorade Pennsylvania and Delaware Players of the Year. Gatorade Play It Forward empowers Gatorade Player of the Year recipients to award a $1,000 grant from Gatorade to a community organization that helps the next generation of athletes reap the benefits of sport.
