As we reflect on the past year at Fun Time Early Childhood Academy, I am incredibly proud of the impact we have had together. Every day, our dedicated teachers and staff have helped children build confidence, develop new skills, form meaningful friendships, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. The growth we have witnessed in our students is a powerful reminder of the lasting difference that quality early childhood education makes in the lives of our children and their families.
As we look ahead, our education team is already planning for another exciting year. We remain committed to strengthening our programs, supporting our families, investing in our staff, and providing the highest quality early learning experiences to help our children reach their fullest potential.

Our students are gaining confidence, learning essential water safety skills, and enjoying swim lessons along the way. We are so proud of their growth and enthusiasm in the water.
In Florida, drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death for children ages 1–4, making water safety education especially critical.
Special thanks to Naples Children Foundation, Safe Healthy Children, Naples Parks & Recreation Department, and the River Park Aquatic Facility team for making this impactful program possible.
| | Poinciana Relocation to Estates Elementary | | |
A bittersweet farewell to our Poinciana location! We’re excited about our relocation to Estates Elementary, where we will be moving in August 2026 in partnership with Collier County Schools.
We’ll be serving children ages 12 months through VPK, providing a nurturing, engaging, and high-quality early learning experience where little minds can grow, play, and shine.
We are also incredibly grateful to Two Men and A Truck for helping move our Poinciana location to the Estates! Their team generously donated their time and services, making this transition smoother and helping us continue providing a great environment for the children and families we serve.

We are grateful for our partnership with Meals of Hope and their mobile food pantry, which visits our school every Monday afternoon. Through this program, families have access to a variety of nutritious food items, including fresh produce, frozen meats, eggs, canned goods, pasta, and other pantry staples.
This valuable resource helps support families in our community by providing free groceries on a weekly basis. We encourage all of our families to take advantage of this opportunity and stop by each Monday to pick up food items for their household.

| | Fun Time Academy Spotlight: Amanda Thompson, Kyendae Pinnock and Candace Perez Gonzalez | | |
This month, we want to spotlight three outstanding team members who have recently stepped into new leadership roles at Fun Time Academy: Amanda Thompson, Kyendae Pinnock, and Candace Perez.
Amanda Thompson has been promoted to our newly created position of Director of Programs. Previously serving as Director of Education, Amanda will now oversee our Site Directors and Education Director while providing support across all locations. In this role, she will help strengthen operations, ensure consistency across programs, and continue advancing the high-quality services our families and children depend on.
Amanda’s dedication to excellence and deep understanding of our programs have made her an invaluable member of the Fun Time Academy leadership team. Her experience and commitment to supporting both staff and students make her the ideal person to help guide our continued growth and success.
Kyendae Pinnock has been promoted to Education Director after serving as Site Director at Golden Gate. In her new role, Kyendae will support our Curriculum Coaches with all things education, including professional development, school-based parent events and programs, and ensuring that high-quality instruction and learning opportunities are taking place across all locations and classrooms.
Kyendae’s passion for education, leadership, and supporting staff development has had a tremendous impact on our programs. Her experience working directly with children, families, and educators gives her a strong foundation to lead our educational initiatives and continue fostering positive outcomes for students.
Candace Perez has been promoted to Site Director of Golden Gate after serving as Assistant Site Director. Throughout her time with Fun Time Academy, Candace has gained valuable experience supporting operations and working across multiple locations, building strong relationships with staff, children, and families along the way.
Candace’s commitment, adaptability, and willingness to learn have prepared her well for this leadership opportunity. We are excited to watch her shine as she leads the Golden Gate team and continues creating a positive, nurturing environment for the children and families we serve.

We were excited to welcome the month of June and kick off our summer water play activities! Throughout the month, children enjoyed engaging experiences that helped them stay cool while learning through play.
During the first week of summer, our VPK students learned important water safety rules and practices. VPK students also participated in two weeks of swim lessons, building confidence and developing important water safety skills.
Toddlers and preschoolers explored a variety of hands-on water activities, including color mixing experiments, sink-or-float investigations, and sensory water play. Children also enjoyed refreshing freeze pops as a special summer treat.
Our students also learned about marine life. They explored ocean animals, habitats, and the importance of protecting our waters through stories, art projects, sensory activities, and hands-on learning experiences.
In addition to our summer themes, classrooms focused on activities that promote social-emotional development, cognitive growth, communication, and cooperative play. Through group activities, children practiced sharing, taking turns, following directions, and working together with their peers.
