A Word From Our Director

Happy June!

Graduations, Father’s Day, Summer Vacations, Weddings and lots of programs coming up! I hope you plan to have fun and stay cool this summer.

One of my favorite events is coming up soon – Day on the Farm!

Join us June 20 on a working farm for experiences you will never forget! Ride a horse, pet baby animals, plant a seed and enjoy a real-life hayride! There’s also storytelling, carnival games and lots of other fun activities. Many thanks to Oakdale Lions Club for their hot dog barbecue with all the fixings! Register HERE and don’t forget your cowboy boots!

Another great event is on the calendar for Sunday, September 13…Community Brunch! Every two years, Society participates in this breakfast food extravaganza and the money we raise helps support our programs. Contact us to buy tickets or sponsor this festive and worthwhile community fundraiser. Hope to see you there – be sure to stop by our booth for a delicious crepe with all the toppings!

Being outdoors and active is the best antidote to the months we have spent indoors due to inclement weather. Bring on Summer – we’re ready!
