Summer is the ideal time for Freshmen and Sophomores to start researching colleges/universities. Also it’s a good time to get those last visits in before the craziness that is Senior year starts. Just remember, you can’t truly get the vibe of campus while the students are away but it’s better than not touring at all. Are you interested in a big city, suburban or rural campus? Are you comfortable among a few hundred students or thousands of students? Is public transportation important to you? Do you require plenty of green space? Are certain Club and extracurriculars important to you? Is a D1 school a priority for you? If you do your research now and tour your top choices by the end of Junior year, you'll be ready to apply when those early action deadlines pop up in early fall of Senior year. Some universities even open up their application process as early as August 1.

Campus Notes
Freshmen: Leveling up your classes is important in order to get a good foundation. Make it a GOAL to finish off high school with calculus. You may even be able to take it at a local college during high school. Remember, you won't get to calculus if you didn't have it on your trajectory from day one.
Rising Juniors: Take the August SAT. Sign up now and put the summer to good use and study.
