HAPPY SUMMER, MPI NEW JERSEY CHAPTER

Yes—it’s hot out there! With 100-degree days, we’re all hoping for a break in the heat soon. But despite the weather, your support for our 27th Annual Golf Outing has been nothing short of amazing.

This event has become a defining tradition for the MPI New Jersey Chapter. Some of our most dedicated members first connected with the chapter through this very outing—and they’re still with us today. In 2025, we hosted an incredibly successful event at Stanton Ridge Golf & Country Club, and we hope you enjoyed the fresh new venue as much as we did. Even when the weather didn’t cooperate in the morning, you, our resilient members, truly “weathered” the storm—and made it a day to remember.

And here’s the big news: The MPI New Jersey Chapter was honored with the prestigious RISE Award for Marketplace Excellence at last week's WEC for our 2024 Golf Event! 🎉 This award celebrates chapters that create exceptional, innovative networking experiences.

Our Golf Outing stood out for its creativity, engagement, and business-building opportunities. From launching a custom app to enabling real-time photo sharing and feedback, we created a dynamic platform for members to connect, market their services, and grow together. This wasn’t just golf—it was a full-on business and community experience.

I’m beyond proud of the incredible committee that brought this vision to life. As your 2024 Chapter President, I had the absolute joy of cheering from the sidelines while our OOP, committee chairs, and members did the heavy lifting. You made magic happen.

As I “graduate” from the Presidency at the end of this year, I reflect on the journey with deep gratitude. The MPI New Jersey Chapter has given me so much—friendship, fun, and a sense of family. And speaking of graduation, I’m celebrating alongside my two favorite “members”: my daughter Taylor, heading off to Syracuse, and my son CJ, entering his final four of high school.

We’re on the Rise!

This marks our second RISE Award in just three years, proving that the MPI New Jersey Chapter continues to make its mark on the global stage. President-Elect Stephanie Maurice, accepted the award on behalf of the chapter, joined by many enthusiastic chapter members who celebrated this incredible moment together.

Shining Bright: Jordan Lacey Wins Young Professional Achievement Award

We’re also excited to congratulate our very own Jordan Lacey, MBA, CMP, on receiving the RISE Award for Young Professional Achievement! Jordan’s commitment to the industry, fresh perspective, and inspiring leadership embody the future of our profession. A Tee-riffic Day at Our 27th Annual Golf Outing!

Rain or shine, our 27th Annual Golf Outing on June 10th at Stanton Ridge Golf & Country Club was a swinging success! As one of the MPI New Jersey Chapter's most anticipated signature events, this year’s outing welcomed nearly 175 industry professionals for a day filled with meaningful networking, plenty of fun, and—eventually—some sunshine.

Our new venue was a fantastic backdrop for the day and received rave reviews from attendees. While the weather gave us a few curveballs, the spirit of the event never wavered.

How did you get your start in the industry?

I was exposed to the industry by my mother when I was fresh out of high school. She worked in Speaker Bureaus and actually she still does. I started my career as a Speaker Bureau Logistics Planner back in 2009 because of my mother.

Why did you join MPI, and what do you love most about the organization?

I joined MPI because I looked up to the people in MPI. I, in turn, love being able to bring new people to MPI functions to experience the organization.
