Hope Chest Grants

Do you know someone that would benefit from a Hope Chest grant? Share our new patient handout with them.

New Board Member

Kara Johnson has joined our board of directors. She is excited to bring her knowledge of finance and retail to The Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation to help advance the work and reach of the foundation. Witnessing firsthand how breast cancer impacts women of all ages and backgrounds, Kara believes in the crucial importance of immediate, local financial support to help alleviate some of the burdens faced by those affected by this disease.

Spring Appeal

This spring help us spread sunshine by doubling your impact! There are two generous donors (an anonymous donor and Northwest Tonka Lions Club) who will double your donation up to $7,500! Give by June 20 and your gift will be matched, providing twice as much support to Minnesota breast cancer patients and their families.

Volunteer As a Hope Ambassador

Would you or your company team like to help the Hope Chest Foundation by providing your time and talents? Volunteer your time as a Hope Ambassador. There will be 2- or 3-hour shifts at events to greet visitors and provide information about the Foundation. Let us know if you are interested, and we will get you signed up for a brief training session and provide a calendar to select shifts throughout the year. You will receive on-going information with new opportunities. Send us an email at foundation@hopechest.com to sign up. Learn more

Hispanic/Latina women are more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer later than white women.

Uninsured women have lower rates of breast cancer screening compared to those with health insurance.

Lesbian and bisexual women get fewer breast cancer screenings due to fear of discrimination, having negative experiences with health care providers, or health insurance coverage rates.

The Hope Chest Foundation provides grants for all women, helping to reduce inequities in breast cancer outcomes.
