Vulnerable Population Registry For Potential Emergencies
The Vulnerable Population Registry is a tool that municipalities can use to help evaluate residents needs in their communities and assist in planning a response in an emergency. Residents should pre-register in the Vulnerable Population Registry if they are at risk due to a disability, frailty or health issue (regardless of age) and elect to stay at home in the event of an emergency. You only need to register once and should do so in advance before a storm arrives. Residents can register online, call the Broward County Call Center at 311 or 954-831-4000 (TTY 954-831-3890) or contact their municipality’s emergency management agency for assistance. ​​​​
Summer At Your Library: Tails And Tales
Animal lovers and book lovers are in for a treat during Broward County Library's summer program: Summer at Your Library: Tails and Tales, taking place online now through August 14. Programs focus on animals and nature with book discussions, trivia contests, crafts, puppet shows, musical performances, wellness and wildlife education programs and more. In addition to free events, there will be giveaways. Readers of all ages can register for chances to win great prizes.

​The Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) provides certification services to local small businesses in order to bid on Broward County procurement contracts with Small Business Enterprise (SBE), County Business Enterprise (CBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) or Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise* (ACDBE) program requirements. 

Certification in these programs provides a gateway to other OESBD services that support the growth and sustainability of Broward County's business community.

Get Vaccinated
The Florida Department of Health in Broward has announced 21 new pop-up vaccination events for June, including new events in Deerfield Beach, Dania Beach, Davie, Pembroke Park, Weston, North Lauderdale and Oakland Park.

The month of June offers multiple days of additional opportunities for residents to Take the Shot! Vaccinations are free and open to the public, age 12+, with no appointment or insurance required.

COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program - Applications Are Now Being Accepted! -

Residents who are behind on rent and/or utility payments due to COVID-19 may be eligible for Broward County's Emergency Rental Assistance Program. This program covers 100% of past due amounts up to 12 months. Renters who may have applied previously and been rejected are encouraged to apply aga​in.

The Royal Caribbean's Odyssey of the Seas docked at Port Everglades. Odyssey of the Seas is homeported at Port Everglades and is Royal Caribbean's first Quantum Ultra Class cruise ship in the United States.
Hosted a meeting with Brightline's executives and community stakeholders to discuss their initiatives.
Joined BSO, Handy, and OIC to visit the BMSD unincorporated area to assist and deliver fresh produce and gift cards to families.
Interviewed by Burnadette Norris-Weeks and Kathy Eccleston for Women of Color Empowerment TV Program. The topic of the show is "How Red States Are Overriding Blue Cities: The Loss of Local Control."
Visited the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center to check on the progress and prepare for Florida International Trade and Cultural Expo (FITCE). FITCE will take place November 17th - 18th.
Joined community leaders at the TPS Summit to discuss the implementation of a program to assist TPS recipients with completing the application.
Northwest 7th Street in the Broward Municipal Services District honored legendary civil rights activists Harry T. and Harriette V. Moore. The Moore’s were the first true civil rights activists of the modern civil rights era in Florida. 
Thank you Consul General Castillo for inviting me to be part of CENA DE LA ROSA. This event will help a foundation called the Reina de Quito, a non-profit organization which has key projects to help and support schools for children with Down Syndrome in Ecuador.
