From Puppies 'N Love and Animal Kingdom, we hope that you and your family have a wonderful Independence Day!
As we all celebrate this day, remember that what can be fun for humans may not always be fun for dogs. Dogs can hear about four times as well as people, so fireworks can be quite loud and frightening for them! Heartbreakingly, more pets are lost on July 4th than any other day of the year because panic causes them to run away from home.
Keep your furry pet safe this 4th of July. Keep them somewhere quiet, secure, and INDOORS during fireworks. Update your microchip information if need be, and make sure they are wearing a collar with identification. You can also find a few more tips on this short blog post.

We are proud to work with breeders that are committed to animal welfare, and twice per year we even visit a number of these breeders! Meet one of the breeders from our latest trip - James Graber!
James started as a hobby breeder with German Shepherds, which he always had a passion for because of their intelligence and devoted family disposition. He has now expanded and has fallen in love with Golden Retrievers’ soft, easy-going nature, especially with his small children.
His kennels are carefully designed with large indoor areas and platforms with stairs to allow mommas to have their personal time while the puppies can romp and play below. (Personal time is important to dogs, too!) You can often find his large English Cream Male dog diving into the large pond that sits in front of their kennels.
All of his animals are provided daily enrichment and socialization… even his sheep and two orphan cows are trained! Puppies are being constantly handled, socialized, and loved by his children.

We assume a lifetime responsibility for every puppy we send home. Our Homes for Life program is the result of this commitment and our dedication to preventing pet homelessness.
We understand that for unfortunate and unforeseen reasons sometimes customers who purchase our puppies can no longer care for them. For this reason, our customers agree to relinquish the dog to us, not a shelter.
We do this to ensure that we can find them a new, loving home but first provide them with the rehabilitation and care that they may need in addition to a neuter/spay as part of our commitment to responsible pet ownership.

If you're new around here, please watch our newest introduction video that illustrates our mission, values, how we care for our puppies and our quality breeders: | |
To ensure that all of our puppies find homes in a timely manner, we reduce their price as they age.
By no means are we lowering the cost of these puppies because they are in any way less valuable, but it’s our mission to find each of our puppies a permanent, loving home as quickly as possible.

Stella the Havachon &
Stormie the Cavapoo
June 8th was National Best Friends Day, so we are happy to present you with these two besties - Stella and Stormie! Here are a few words from their new family about their personalities.
"Stella is the dominant one...although she is also very sweet and docile.
Stella sits back and observes...once Stormie bounces up to someone, then Stella feels she can as well.
Stormie is rambunctious and 'naughty'....curious...chews on anything and everything.
But also very loving.
Eager to see and greet everyone.
They have an older dog in the home and he is curious about them but does not like them jumping on him ! Poor guy!"
We are happy that this pair has such a wonderful life together!
Thank you for sharing, Lesa!

Recently awarded Phoenix Best in the Valley for Pet Sitting, Hand & Hound is a great resource for pet owners needing extra exercise and enrichment for their pets or coverage while traveling!
At Hand & Hound, they strive to get to know pet owners and their pets as if they were their own while also incorporating professional standards, such as Pet First Aid + CPR training.
They know how hard it is to trust whoever is coming into your home and caring for your pets, so every sitter is expected to be fully transparent and communicate all details to pet owners, through a mobile app that has GPS-verified reports.

If you are looking for a puppy, be careful & remain vigilant!
Here is how to spot a puppy scam online from AKC:
-
No phone calls. The seller prefers to handle communication by email and not the phone. A reputable breeder will always communicate with you via phone or video chat (if not in person) before selling you a puppy. Fraudulent sellers are oftentimes outside of the U.S. and may be hiding their phone number by only communicating by email.
-
Copycat or stock photos. Photos of the dog or ad text can be found on multiple websites. Search for the text or reverse image search the photos on Google to find out if they were copied.
-
Sketchy payment. The seller asks for wiring of money or payment by gift cards. Be aware that if you choose a non-secure method of payment, it is highly unlikely that you will get your money back. Avoid paying a stranger using apps such as Venmo, as it is harder to get your money back if you don’t get what you paid for.
-
Price is too good to be true. Research the prices for the breed you are considering. Purebred dogs sold at deeply discounted prices are typically frauds. If the seller says they register their dogs with a specific organization, you can call the organization to confirm.
