As Avondale House approaches its 50th anniversary next year, we’re celebrating five decades of commitment to individuals with profound autism and their families. But this milestone isn’t just about looking back, it’s about laying the foundation for the next 50 years of impact.

That’s why, for the first time in our organization’s history, Avondale House is proud to launch The Avondale Fund, our official annual fund designed to sustain and strengthen our mission to provide individuals with autism the resources, education, and support they need to reach their fullest potential and thrive across a lifetime.

HOT OFF THE PRESS: Clear your calendar, and your Bingo card! We’re overjoyed to invite you to become a sponsor of the 6th Annual Avondale House Bingo Bash, taking place the evening of Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Junior League of Houston!

This unforgettable night of fun, prizes, and friendly competition brings our community together to support a cause that urgently needs our support. All proceeds will benefit our four program areas. For nearly 50 years, Avondale House has been a lifeline for those who often fall through the cracks, supporting them with the services that other organizations simply can't. Without Avondale House, many of these individuals would have nowhere to turn.

Your support will help expand our life-changing services and reach more families who rely on us. Our mission is needed now more than ever, and your sponsorship allows us to raise critical funding to not only sustain our programs, but welcome in new individuals and remain a trusted source of stability and care for the individuals and families who need it most.

"Avondale House has enabled our family to have a dependable place 

that Michael can go during the day to make friends and enjoy meaningful activities. The wonderful thing about Avondale House is they are very patient and willing to work with parents to come up with solutions for short or long term issues. We grow together. Michael attends almost every day and gets up in the morning and gets everything ready and has a smile on his face when we pick him up. He has really matured in his time there. We are happy Michael is at Avondale House and he really enjoys his art and music classes. Mr. Dixon is an amazing teacher!"

Run for a Reason this January: Join Team Avondale House!

Join our team for the 2026 Chevron Houston Marathon, Half Marathon or 5K!

Each year, 60+ local charity organizations become partners through Run for a Reason (RFAR) as a way to raise support for their missions. Members of the community who are interested in participating in the full marathon, half marathon or 5K are encouraged to make their miles matter through representing a charity and fundraising on their behalf as they prepare to run. We'd love to have you join Team Avondale House!

Run for a Reason Team Avondale House Perks:

• Avondale House covers the race registration fee for Chevron Marathon, Aramco Half Marathon and 5k runners.
• The top fundraiser will win a two-night stay at Hilton Americas-Houston before the big race! The marathon will be just steps from your hotel room.
• Receive a custom Avondale House bib and running shirt for race day
• Receive Avondale House swag to rep that you run for autism acceptance.
• A fan squad cheering you on at the Avondale House Hoopla Station located at mile 6.5!
