CHEDEPO GREBO CULTURAL FESTIVAL

Want to do something different this July 4th weekend?

Tarlesson Farm celebrates its

3rd Annual CHEDEPO GREBO CULTURAL FESTIVAL

African Music, Dance, Drum, and Food

July 1st- 3rd, 2011

Main Event:  July 3rd from 2PM to 8PM

Guinda, CA  in the Capay Valley

Free and open to the public!

Roosevelt Tarlesson, of Tarlesson Family Farms was the guest speaker at Mandela's Black History celebration earlier this year, "Farming: A Pillar of Black History."  There he spoke about the Chedepo Grebo Cultural Festival that sparked many peoples interest. Well now it's here! Just to refresh your memory, Roosevelt is an organic farmer from Liberia living in the Capay Valley. He is a farmer-partner of Mandela Foods -- check out his mustard greens at Mandela Foods this week!

I spoke to Roosevelt recently and he said those who came the 1st and 2nd year tell him that when they went back and told friends who didn't come about the experience -- what they saw, explaining to their friends that this is Africa, this is history, something you've never seen -- their friends quickly regretted it and couldn't wait for the next one.

You don't want to be the one who misses this festival and have to hear about later.
