Council on Developmental Disabilities

Partners in Policymaking™ is the Council’s free leadership and advocacy training program for adults with disabilities and family members of persons with disabilities.
The Council established the Partners in Policymaking™ program in TN in 1993. Since that time, more than 500 adults with disabilities and family members with disabilities have completed the intensive program; these graduates have gone on to advocate for themselves, their family members and the disability community at large, and to influence policies on the local, state and national level. 2018 will mark the 24th class of Partners who have graduated from the program!
Ds Awareness License Plate
Sales end June 30, 2018. Please help spread the word to help make this happen!

In 2017, our state legislature passed a bill to authorize a Down syndrome awareness license plate. We must have 1,000 sold BEFORE they will go into production, and we must reach this goal by June 30, 2018. License plates are $35 each. You may purchase by clicking the link below.

Half of the proceeds from the sale of the plates will go to DSAMT and will be used for state-wide advocacy efforts - which benefits individuals with Ds across the state. Please help us spread the word to reach our goal of 1,000 - we have a long way to go!
