The Dodge City Days is a world-class ten-day celebration of Dodge City’s western heritage. The fesitval has been running for more than 70 years. It begins on the last weekend in July and includes a variety of annual events that draw approximately one hundred thousand visitors each year.

National Day of the Cowboy

Annually on the fourth Saturday in July Dodge City and other communities celebrate National Day of the Cowboy.


National Day of the Cowboy (NDOC) is a way to preserve and celebrate the culture and history of the American Cowboy.


The Dodge City Visitor Information Center will be decorated with NDOC flags, handing out cards with the cowboy/cowgirl code of conduct, and more fun activities.

The Dodge City Roundup Rodeo has been setting the bar for rodeo excitement since 1977.


Dodge City's award-winning annual PRCA rodeo draws nearly 800 of the best contestants in rodeo. Things kick off with a night of Xtreme Bulls, on Tuesday, Aug. 8. On Wednesday, Aug. 3 enjoy family night with a hamburger feed and the start of the PRCA Rodeo. Enjoy more exciting rodeo action throughout the week.

Outstanding Frontline Service Employee Awards

During the 2022 National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW) the Dodge City Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) hosted the Outstanding Frontline Service Employee Awards.


More than 70 entries were received from more than 14 locations throughout Dodge City. Ultimately two winners were named. Ally Smith from Bella Italia Ristorante and Gloria Lee from Dodge City Brewing. Congratulations to both winners.


The CVB plans to make this award part of the annual NTTW celebration.
