Blog #1 - Wondering If Your Home Can Handle Stairlift Installation?

Do you have more than one level in your home? If so, aging in place can be difficult.

Thankfully, there are ways you can cater to occupants with specific mobility needs.

Blog #2 - 5 Aging in Place Kitchen Design Ideas

Kitchen floors can be slippery, knives and other sharp items can cause cuts, and heat sources can easily burn the thinner skin of older adults.

With so many safety concerns, it’s essential to optimize your kitchen space to age safely in place.

Check out this article to explore some ways you can help prevent unnecessary kitchen injuries for aging-in-home seniors.

3 Tips to Keep Your Home Cool in the Summer☀️🧊

As summer temperatures soar, seniors need to stay cool and comfortable to avoid heat-related illnesses.

Here are 3 ways to help seniors beat the heat and stay safe during the summer months:

1. Stay Hydrated: Water is key! It might be smart to avoid caffeine and alcohol as well - they can cause dehydration.

2. Take Cool Showers: Cool showers help lower the body temperature. You can also try placing a cool, damp towel on your neck, wrists, and forehead for relief from the heat.

3. Make Adjustments in Your Home: Keep AC units and fans on the appropriate setting. Keep the sun and heat out by drawing the blinds, curtains, and shades throughout your home.

Remember, it’s all about safety and comfort!
