Ellen's Book Review

Anna Lee Huber's

Lady Darby Mysteries

Murder, mystery, romance, and Early Victorian forensics!

A series with a Gothic feel! By American author Anna Lee Huber, this historical mystery series features Lady Kiera Darby, an artistic sleuth who uses her talent for the macabre to bring murderers to justice in 1830s' Scotland. You'll find great characters, an atmospheric Scottish setting, intricate mysteries, and fascinating historical elements of the time period. There are 10 books in the series so far.

Start with The Anatomist's Wife (Book 1), followed by Mortal Arts (2), and A Grave Matter (3).

Riveting…Huber deftly weaves together an original premise, an enigmatic heroine, and a compelling Highland setting.”-Deanna Raybourn
